Sir garments from the Polytech, Polytech Plus, Polytech Color, Polytech Modac, Polytech Stretch and Polytech Max series are able to guarantee protection against the risks of electric arcs. This is achieved without sacrificing softness, breathability and comfort.
The electric arc resistance of the Polytech Plus Series is quantified by the ATPV (Arc Thermal Performance Value), determined according to the CEI EN 61482-1-1/method A standard.
ATPV is the maximum thermal energy, incident in units of energy per surface area, that a fabric can withstand before the worker suffers second-degree burns. In the case of the Polytech Plus Series, the value is 21.9 cal/m2, among the highest on the market.
Another method for measuring the protective performance of a garment against the thermal effects of an electric arc is the closed arc test required by Standard CEI EN 61482-1-2.
During this test, the fabric is exposed to an electric arc generated in a very confined environment, directed by an extremely specific enclosure and with a particular arrangement of electrodes.
The essential criterion that a fabric must meet in order to pass the Class 1 (4 kA) or Class 2 (7 kA) test is to prevent the heat transferred through the fabric during the test from causing second-degree burns. The Polytech Plus Series has also been tested according to this standard, passing the Class 2 (7kA) test. The guarantee of protection offered by Polytech garments lies in the fabric, whose fibres are intrinsically flame-retardant, a characteristic that is not lost even with washing and wear.

POLYTECH SERIES
The Polytech series is the ideal choice for those who refuse to compromise between protection and comfort. Thanks to its advanced technology, it offers antistatic performance and superior resistance to flames, heat and chemicals, ensuring maximum safety even in the most demanding environments.
The multi-purpose fabric with fire-retardant treatment, combined with class 1 protection against electric arcs, ensures complete defence against multiple risks. The high percentage of cotton, combined with technical fibres, makes each garment soft, breathable and incredibly resistant, for comfort that lasts all day long.
POLYTECH COLOR SERIES
With Polytech Colour, protection also becomes style: the range is enriched with a wide choice of colour variations and combinations to meet the image and recognition needs of every company, without ever compromising on safety.

POLYTECH MODAC SERIES
The Polytech Modac series embodies all the qualities that have made Polytech a benchmark in terms of safety and comfort, but goes even further: it is made with intrinsically flame-retardant fabric thanks to the presence of modacrylic fibres, which guarantee permanent protection against the risk of fire.
While offering maximum safety against flames, heat, chemicals and electric arcs (class 1), Polytech Modac maintains excellent breathability and softness, thanks to its high cotton content. The result is a sturdy garment that is resistant to mechanical stress and comfortable to wear every day, even in the most demanding conditions. The garment is certified for 50 washes.

POLYTECH STRETCH SERIES
All the technical specifications and safety levels of the Polytech line are also maintained in the Stretch version. With the Polytech Stretch version, the collection adds an extra plus: stretch fabric, which makes each garment even more functional and high-performing in terms of safety and comfort. The stretch fabric follows the worker's movements during activity, offering an ergonomic fit without sacrificing strength, thanks also to the reinforced seams.
The high-visibility contrasting yellow inserts complete the modern design, helping to increase the level of protection for the operator in low-light conditions, such as on construction sites or in the presence of vehicular traffic. The Stretch version also guarantees class 1 electric arc protection.

POLYTECH MAX SERIES
The Polytech Max series offers the comfort and quality of the Polytech series with the added bonus of class 2 electric arc protection.
It also offers protection during welding operations, chemical protection and protection from heat and flames.

POLYTECH PLUS SERIES
The Polytech Plus series is certified for Class 2 electric arc protection and, thanks to LENZING™ FR fabric combined with other high-performance fibres, guarantees intrinsically fire-resistant protection. In addition, the fabric with LENZING™ FR fibre, an organically derived cellulose fibre, is biodegradable and compostable.
The series also features NAQCUA eco-finish treatment, which offers high performance in terms of water repellency. This finish is up to three times more durable than other non-fluorinated repellents and contains 63% renewable raw materials derived from non-genetically modified plant sources.
