The EN 795 standard specifies requirements, test methods and instructions for use of single-user anchor devices. This is personal protective equipment protecting against falls from a height, intended to be anchored and removed from the structure. This PPE incorporates stationary or mobile anchor points and is designed for the attachment of several components of a single safety system. The standard also specifies the requirements for marking, instructions for use and guidance on installation.
The elements that can make up a protective system against falling from a height are: energy absorbers, connectors, anchor devices, lanyards, retractable devices, flexible guides or lifelines, rigid guides or lifelines and harnesses.
