The EN 381 standard specifies the minimum requirements for protective clothing for users of handheld chainsaws and protective gloves for the use of chainsaws. EN 381-7 specifically regulates gloves. There are two types of gloves:
Type A) the protector is only present at the back of the left hand’s metacarpus (if the protector is also on the right hand, it is the same as the left-hand).
Type B) the protector also covers the back of the individual fingers except for the thumb (if the protector is also on the right hand, it is the same as the left-hand).
