Aspects such as practicality, which offers the possibility of removing a garment quickly if need be, or resistance, which contributes to protection from particularly aggressive external agents, actively contribute to guaranteeing an adequate level of safety for the workers. In business sectors such as the engineering and metallurgical industries, the petrochemical and chemical industries and the mining and plastic processing industries, the use of multi-standard clothing is the solution to a fundamental need for guaranteed protection from serious and in some cases, lethal risks. All this without forgetting comfort.

SIR multi-standard clothing combines practicality and the best level of protection against single and multiple risks, with the aim of significantly reducing the chances of the operator being seriously injured. The risks from which multi-standard garments provide protection are: static electricity, sparks, splashes of molten metal, convective radiant heat, contact with flames, electric arc and chemicals. All certified properties of the respective standards: EN 14116, 11612, 1149-5, 11611 and 13034. Furthermore, many multi-standard SIR products also fulfil EN 20471, the standard that sets forth tests and levels of protection of high visibility clothing. An essential requirement is that of visibility in poor light conditions, which is added to the others for workers who work in traffic, construction, shipbuilding and transport. Adding this additional feature to multi-standard garments is a reflection of Sir Safety System's desire to offer more and more protection to the workers, even in the most adverse conditions, such as those of poor lighting, both during the day and the night.
