BUILT TO GUARANTEE COMFORT, PERFORMANCE AND SAFETY AT ALL TIMES
SIR offers a wide range of multi-norm garments, suitable for different fields of activity: metalworking, metallurgy, petrochemical, chemical, foundry, mining, plastics processing, gas, water and light management, fire-fighting teams ... not forgetting a high level of comfort and maintaining softness, lightness, functionality and breathability!
The aim? Offering the best protection against single and multiple threats and significantly reduce the chances of serious injuries, whatever the cause.
Our multi-norm garments meet the latest and most stringent standards regarding flame and antistatic properties, protection from all risks related to welding, against electrical shock and chemicals: EN 14116, 11612, 1149-5, 11611 and 13034.
Moreover, many of our multi-norm products also meet the EN 20471 standard to provide adequate visibility, day and night. This allows us to be a point of reference in the target market for multi-norm garments. For example, do you know what the FIRE TRIANGLE is?
A fire needs 3 elements to be triggered:
A fire can be extinguished by removing one of these elements. For example, covering a fire with a fire blanket removes the oxygen supply, thus extinguishes the fire
AND THE ELECTRIC ARC?
Also called Flashover - it is a continuous high voltage electrical discharge between two conductors that generates a very strong light and intense heat. The formation of the arc represents a very serious risk, potentially lethal, since burns generated by intense heat can be severe. The energy generated by the electric arc can ignite and/or melt standard protective clothing, so workers exposed to this type of hazard must be adequately protected. Personal protective equipment (PPE) can be used to effectively shield a worker from the radiation of an electric arc, but the PPE itself may be ineffective against flying objects, molten metal and the violent impact that an arc explosion can produce.
Here is the wide range of multi-norm clothing that SIR offers to ensure maximum safety in particularly hazardous work environments:
